Superlatives are used to compare more than two things or two people. Superlative sentences usually use 'the': Alan is the most intelligent. Download here a photocopiable material about this.

• Irregular comparatives and superlatives:

far(extent)	further	the furthest
good	better	the best

• To express similarities use the following structure: 

As…as
